In many fields, the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Germany are connected by a long partnership rich in tradition - particularly in the green sector. It is all the more pleasing that the Netherlands are presenting themselves as the official partner country at IPM ESSEN 2017. Under the motto of "Two Countries - One Passion", around 400 Dutch exhibitors are showing new products and technical innovations at the world's leading fair for horticulture. However, IPM ESSEN is not only suitable as a platform for presenting the Dutch innovative force but is also offering an opportunity for the exchange of experience and networking across borders.
The friendship between both countries is also reflected in the figures for the sector: The export value of Dutch plants and flowers to Germany amounts to around Euro 5 billion – therefore, the Kingdom is proving to be one of the most important green trading partners for Germany. Monique van Daalen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, spoke during the official opening ceremony. With emotional words, she greeted the guests at the fair and thus offered an ideal start to an exciting week at the fair.
Still until Friday, around 1,600 exhibitors from nearly 50 countries are showing their innovations from the Plants, Technology, Floristry and Garden Features areas and are making IPM ESSEN the navel of the green sector this year, too.
