The international INDEGA IPM Innovation Award will be given to a product or system, which represents an important innovation in horticulture and which is showcased for the first time in Germany at IPM ESSEN 2017.
All exhibitors at IPM ESSEN 2017 are entitled to participate if they present horticultural product ranges being displayed as followed: Greenhouses and technical equipment for greenhouses; technical equipment for heating, irrigation, fertilization and plant protection; store construction and equipment; machines and tools for horticultural production; technical equipment and requisites; fertilizer, peat substrates, growing media.
Nursery employees and bush and shrub gardeners exhibiting at IPM ESSEN will be able to submit their plants, provided with an explanatory text, for the Show Your Colours Award 2017. Here, the storytelling is essential. With the Show Your Colours Award, the stories will be put in the limelight during IPM ESSEN 2017.
During all days of the exhibition the nominated plants will be exposed separately in special areas within the foyer east and within the BizzHolland collective stand. All visitors are invited to participate with their vote in the evaluation of exhibits. The submissions will be assessed by an expert jury. The award ceremony of the Show Your Colours Award will take place on Thursday, January 26th, 2017, at 3 pm in Hall 12 at booth 12A40.
The Novelties show in Hall 1A will focus on new and unknown breeds - since 2008, a permanent constituent of IPM ESSEN.
On the day before the opening of the fair, a knowledgeable jury will choose the best innovations from international plant breeders in the following categories, "Flowering and Green House Plants", "Spring-Flowering Plants", "Bedding and Balcony Plants", "Cut Flowers", "Perennial Plants", "Woody Plants" as well as "Tub Plants". All the innovations will be exhibited throughout the period of the fair.
At the end of the IPM ESSEN, the traditional award ceremony for the IPM Trade Fair Cup will take place again in the FDF World; the 2017 title is “Upcycling".
On Friday, 27 January 2017, at 11 p.m., visitors will not only learn who won in the three division competitions “Gefäßpflanzung” (container planting), “Deko-Topfpflanze” (decorative potted plants) and “Strauß” (bouquets), but also who will take home the coveted IPM Trade Fair Cup.
In addition, the best trainees for each of the division competitions will also receive a trophy. The horticultural and floral pieces can be seen during the entire trade fair in Hall 1A.
Enabled to participate: apprentices, gardeners, florists, foremen, technicians, engineers as well as pupils of trade schools in the sectors floristry and horticulture.
