The decision support system InfoGrow

InfoGrow is a decision support system for optimizing greenhouse production. With InfoGrow software as a decision support tool, measurements of biological processes are directly connected with the interpretation of climate data, giving new opportunities for optimizing production and saving resources.

With InfoGrow you can follow photosynthesis, here and now, compared with optimal photosynthesis and discover the possibilities to increase your production by adjusting the greenhouse climate control set points. At the same time InfoGrow shows the consumption of light and heat, and together with information of energy prices, InfoGrow can estimate the energy costs related to production. It is also possible to analyse collected data from any one point in time.

InfoGrow can presently only be used together with Senmatic’s Superlink 5, but the team from Plant Technology Agro Tech is working hard to make InfoGrow software compatible with PRIVA climate systems.

Virtual Greenhouse is a model-based online tool which calculates the consequences of new initiatives in greenhouses, showing how energy, climate and yield will react to new simulated conditions. The new initiative could be technical or biological, i.e. from a new climate paradigm to a change of shading material, equipment or crop. Virtual Greenhouse produces a report that compares the energy consumption and plant product yield under existing conditions against the new conditions. In this manner, it is possible to make an educated decision about investment or other initiatives related to the production.

In Plant Technology at the Danish Technological Institute, we keep the plant in focus and have expertise in optimizing the growth, production and utilization of plants and plant based bio-resources.

We work with optimized plant production, plant breeding and biotechnology, high value bio compounds, plant health and diseases as well as cultivation technology for plants and algae. We offer everything from development of new plants in our biotechnological service laboratory to field trials, where we test new varieties.
