The idea behind SECALFLOR was born in 1994 in Rheinsberg, north of Berlin. Initially just developed for erosion protection, the first field tests quickly proved the base material‘s unique ability to retain water and its positive effects on plant growth. Starting in the immediate local area, SECALFLOR Panel testing was gradually expanded to different application scenarios. The goal was always to make our regionally produced agricul-tural products universally usable.

The patented, 100% ecological mix of cellulose fibres, plant starch and mineral additives ensures an increase in plant growth in all climates, even in extreme conditions. Water, nutrient and pesticide use can be reduced significantly. SECALFLOR Panels‘ unique, natural properties provide opportunities in many applications and industries.

For 20 years now, SECALFLOR Panels have proven themselves across a wide range of parameters and environmental conditions worldwide. In the face of climate change‘s extreme weather events and periods of drought – perhaps the greatest challenge of our time – SECALFLOR gives rise to hope of green, blooming landscapes and predictable, successful harvests.

SECALFLOR continues its intensive research and development to optimise effectiveness and find new application areas. We attach particular importance in using the expe-rience of the last 20 years expediently in all projects, both within our growing company but also internationally.Our aspiration to always produce on-site with local raw materials is also evident at our new subsidiary in Spain.
