Within the framework of the "German Standards - Brands of the Century", the ZEIT publishing group honours over 200 popular German brands every 3 years that exclusively represent a certain product category. The award is made proactively by the jury and advisory board on the basis of defined selection criteria. Only one brand is defined per genre, which is considered emblematic in the perception of consumers. In the category "the special fertiliser", the standard "Brand of the Century" was awarded to CUXIN DCM. The brand stands for sustainable ecological gardening and, in addition to high-quality fertilisers for lawn and plant care, also offers special soils. The organic and organic-mineral fertilisers are produced using unique Minigran® technology. In addition to their high effectiveness, special product advantages include very fine granulation, homogeneous structure and low-dust, low-odour application. The fertilisers have a low nitrate leaching rate and sustainably activate soil life. The resource-saving production process is also certified with the environmental standard ISO 14001.
Sustainability has been a central pillar of CUXIN DCM's business philosophy since its foundation. In collaboration with CO2logic, an expert in the field of carbon footprinting and achieving CO2 neutrality, the company is committed to minimising its carbon footprint. The CO2 Neutral® label awarded by CO2logic guarantees that companies carrying this label actively calculate, reduce and offset their local and global climate impact to become CO2 neutral. This is validated by Vinçotte, an independent and international certification body. Not only the CO2 emissions of production are taken into account, but those of the entire business operations, including emissions from company cars and general office infrastructure. Offsetting is done by supporting social climate protection projects. Modern pots in sustainable material, style and design
CUXIN DCM is expanding its business activities and takes over the distribution of planters from the Belgian manufacturer "The Pots Company" from March 2021 on. Both companies belong to the same group of companies.
The "The Pots Company" was founded in 2006 and is already active in 40 countries. Under the ECOPOTS brand, the company develops and produces high-quality planters in timeless, Scandinavian design. Unlike other pot manufacturers, ECOPOTS are not developed by product designers but by architects. The company's goal is to enrich the world of planters with new, intelligent solutions. Form and function reinforce each other. Examples include invisible suspension devices, well thought-out drainage systems and the reuse of recycled materials. The modern pots come in muted colours and are made from recycled materials. At ECOPOTS, sustainability means not only the responsible use of raw materials, but also high-quality workmanship, high functionality and timeless design, so that consumers can enjoy their products for many years without having to replace them.
