Van der Starre was founded in 1982 by Bart van der Starre and was then named Boomkwekerij van der Starre. A few years later cousin Bert van der Starre joined him. Together they started a v.o.f. (type of corporation) which became later a b.v.

Nowadays as part of Starre Group Van der Starre has grown to an organisation with five nurseries in Boskoop (headquarters), Ridderkerk and Waddinxveen. Van der Starre is a self-supporting organisation with an own propagation site and technical service department.

In cooperation with Designstar, also part of Starre Group, Van der Starre is perfectly able to offer her customers smart concepts and powerful retail presentations.
