Holiday breeze in the shape of an apple

Holiday breeze in the shape of an apple

'Tramin'-s- – the scab-tolerant early apple variety from South Tyrol in the Artevos assortment: The name not only reveals the origin of the apple variety from the well-known South Tyrolean village, but also promises flavours like the Gewürztraminer of the same name: aromatic, spicy, sweet, but at the same time with a noble acidity.

A very robust summer apple that is scab-tolerant (scab-resistance Rvi6) and only slightly susceptible to powdery mildew. The apples ripen about a week before the ‘Gala‘, in the South Tyrolean Underland at the beginning of August, and are characterized by their particularly long shelf life - in the cold storage until Christmas. The round to flat apples are very crunchy, juicy and have a good bite. The basic colour is yellow with an attractive, light red striped cheek.

‘MAJORITA‘-s- – THE ROBUST PEACH

‘MAJORITA‘-s- – THE ROBUST PEACH

This peach variety is very robust against the curl disease and is therefore best suited for private gardens and organic cultivation. It is also suitable for colder locations as the wood is very robust against forest damage. The very aromatic fruits have a yellow flesh that detaches very well from the skin. Therefore, the fruits can not only be used for fresh consumption, but are also particularly suitable for preserving.

SWING® - THE SELF-FERTILE SWEET CHERRY

SWING® - THE SELF-FERTILE SWEET CHERRY

As the name suggests, this sweet cherry gives every garden a swing of new dynamism and enthusiasm! Due to the early ripening period, the fruits are not attacked by the cherry fruit fly, but that is not the only advantage of this early variety, as it is also one of the few varieties that is self-fertile and therefore does not need an additional cherry tree for fertilisation. Its large heart-shaped and dark red fruits (approx. 28 mm) have a delicious tasting, sweet aroma. The high sugar content and juiciness, coupled with the beautiful sight of the fruit, are a delight for all the senses.

Company profile

Passion for Quality in Fruit
That's ARTEVOS .

Artevos is an association of 12 shareholders who have joined their forces to support the development, promotion and marketing of new, healthy fruit varieties by contributing their strengths and competences. Active for the good taste – this has been the motivation for our search for new fruit varieties for over 25 years.

For as different as they are, all our new fruit varieties have an important common feature: a new flavourful experience that meets the highest demands. Our fruit varieties come exclusively from conventional breeding work. We work intensively with famous institutions in Germany and abroad which specialize in the breeding work.

We are firmly convinced that only together we can develop valuable ideas for new varieties. By "we" we mean ARTEVOS and our partners, but also interested nurseries who want to take advantage of our new varieties and our range of products for their production success. In order that these companies / enterprises can participate in our new fruit varieties and contribute to their multiplication, we issue licences – we are currently working with more than 200 nurseries in and outside Europe.
