Show Your Colours Award

IPM ESSEN:
		Show your colours

The Show Your Colours Award will be presented for the fifth time during the International Pfanzenmesse (IPM) 2020 in Essen (Germany). All IPM exhibitors with woody plants and perennials can submit plants or plant concepts for this award. The Show Your Colours Award IPM 2020 is organised by Messe Essen, in cooperation with BIZZ Communications.

Show Your Colours 2020 is all about the added value of the plant, which is expressed in the story behind it, in other words storytelling. Both plants and plant concepts can be submitted.

A sole plant on the shelves sometimes does not suffice to tempt a consumer to buy. A garden plant can be very pretty by itself, but that is not always the case. With added value in the shape of a label, nice pot, well-thought-out concept, or simply by providing more information about the plant, a plant can generate additional attention. These days, companies make good use of this by giving their plant this 'something extra'. In order to motivate participants at the trade fair to put their products with something extra in the spotlight, the Show Your Colours Award IPM was introduced.

Participation:
Unfortunately, participation for 2020 is no longer possible. The registration deadline has already expired on December 20th, 2019.

Judging:
The nominated plants, one specimen per entry, will be exhibited in Hall 8 during the trade fair. The public will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite plant. On Thursday afternoon January 30th, 2020, the entries will be judged by the professional jury. Following this, the result will be announced in the BIZZ Holland stand, Hall 8, stand number A40 at 3.00 pm.

IPM Messecup 2020

Effective staging, exciting creations and lots of creative fun - the IPM Messe Cup is always worth participating in. No matter whether florist or gardener, trainee or master - every competitor gets the chance to present himself, his skills and his workpieces at IPM Essen in the categories "bouquet", "green hero in a pot" and "pot planting".

The theme of the tripartite competition is "So leb' ich - Grüner wird's nicht" ("I live this way - it doesn't get greener"). The wake-up calls of the young generation to climate and environmental protection cannot be ignored. Let your imagination run free and show us, in a personal "statement", your love for the diverse and blooming nature. The IPM Messe-Cup focuses on the range of floristic and horticultural services - paired with a large portion of creativity. In each category, the work pieces that best implement the theme with free design will be awarded prizes. The competition is particularly worthwhile for the next generation of designers. This is because the jury also honours the best trainees in each category. In addition, the combination winner receives the coveted IPM Messe Cup.
