The Auricchio and Sons company was founded in the close 2013, by two brothers Auricchio, Pasquale and Domenico, who have always been involved in floriculture for over thirty years. The company covers about fourteen hectares of production, not counting external collaborations, with structures for half made of iron-glass/ iron-plastic tunnel, and half of open field, the flagship of the company Auricchio as the pedoclimatic position has always favoured the growth outside of typical Mediterranean plants, with high quality standards related to light and climate, which guarantee a compact and robust product, then translated into satisfaction for the final customer.
The production counts, throughout the year, a total rotation of about 2,000,000 vases ranging from a smaller diameter 10, up to a larger diameter 26, counting a hundred different species, each with different characteristics and cultivations’ needs. The company is divided into 3 macro areas, which guarantee the complete business process: rooting, production and selling. During Spring the Auricchio company is more involved in distributing, throughout the national territory, and for 30% on foreigner regions, flowered Mediterranean products such as: Lavandula, Convolvolo, Euryops, giving colour and scent to public planters and balconies.
In Autumn, however, the sale moves on more rustic and typical plants such as cyclamens and Christmas stars, distributed more in neighbouring territories. The main objective of the company is the research of new cultivation techniques, more and more attentive to environmental and eco-sustainable impact; in recent years has invested in photovoltaics, biomass and in the control of parasites and fungi on crops, with the use of useful insects and the constant reduction in the use of chemicals. In order to guarantee an increasingly sustainable and safe product, the company adheres every year to a cultivation’s disciplinary, to be awarded with the MPS certification, recognized at European level and increasingly requested by the national and the foreigner markets.
