Boum Core is a smart, solar-powered irrigation system designed to make plant care simple, reliable and suitable for everyday use. Developed for balconies, terraces and indoor spaces, Boum Core automatically supplies herbs, vegetables and flowers with the optimal amount of water – without daily watering, power outlets or battery replacement.

At the heart of the system is a 32-litre water tank, combined with a solar-powered smart pump and two self-watering planters, each with a capacity of 13 litres. The smart pump is powered entirely by solar energy and connected via Wi-Fi, providing real-time data on water levels and water consumption. An integrated pump distributes water to the planters, while capillary wicks allow the plants to independently absorb exactly the amount of water they need.

Boum Core is supported via the Boum app, which provides personalised recommendations on plant care, fertilisation and climate conditions, tailored to the specific plants being grown. In addition, the system can collect rainwater, further optimising water usage.

Boum Core is lightweight and compact, with all components fitting into a single box. The lightweight planters can be easily repositioned as needed. With 13 litres of soil volume, they offer ideal growing conditions for herbs, vegetables and flowers, even on small urban balconies or terraces.

Designed to be durable, modular and expandable, Boum Core features automatic software updates to ensure long-term performance. The system is 100 per cent compatible with existing Boum products and can easily be expanded with Boum Pro planters and tanks – making it an ideal entry-level product or an elegant addition to existing Boum systems.

Growing vegetables and herbs for beginners and busy lifestyles

With Boum Core, Boum introduces an entry-level version of its popular plant care system. Compared to previous Boum systems, Boum Core is more compact and significantly more affordable.

The new Boum Core includes a 32-litre water tank, a solar-powered control unit and two self-watering planters with a capacity of 13 litres each. The control unit is powered by a solar panel and transmits data on water consumption and water levels via Wi-Fi. An integrated pump supplies the planters’ reservoirs with water. Capillary wicks then allow the plants to independently absorb the optimal amount of water.

The control unit also functions as a rainwater collector. The smart system is controlled via the Boum app on mobile devices. The app provides tailored recommendations on plant care, fertilisation and climate conditions, adapted to the specific plants being grown.

Lightweight and compact design

Compared to existing Boum systems, Boum Core is significantly lighter and more compact. Tank, control unit and planters fit into a single box. The planters are made of lightweight plastic and can easily be moved when needed. With 13 litres of soil volume, they are ideal for growing herbs, vegetables and flowers. This makes Boum Core perfectly suited for urban balconies and smaller terraces.

Expert support and sensor-based AI assistance

The Boum app provides optimal support for plant care. It informs users how many days the water reserves will last and indicates individually for each plant when fertilisation is required.

If questions arise, Boum customers can choose between direct expert support via in-app chat or instant assistance through the newly developed AI assistant. The special feature: the AI assistant “Herby” uses real-time climate and water consumption data from the system to generate accurate, context-aware recommendations.

Durable, repairable and expandable

Boum Core features a modular design. UV- and frost-resistant materials combined with automatically installed software updates create a durable system that continuously evolves.

Boum Core is 100% compatible with existing Boum systems, allowing seamless expansion with Boum Pro planters and tanks. It can be used as an ideal entry-level product or as an elegant extension to existing Boum installations.
