Our breeding programmes at Lubera consist of finding new raspberries, blackberries, currants, blueberries, gooseberries, apples, pears, cherries and fourberries. Breeding supplies us, and especially our customers who are garden lovers and hobby gardeners, with new and better varieties of plants and fruits. Our basic breeding goals are always the same and always easy to formulate: We are looking for fruit-bearing plants that are easier to cultivate and more resistant with better tasting fruit. It is not surprising that we increasingly find varieties amongst our new products that have additional, good agronomical characteristics such as very high yields or good transportability and thus they find their way into commercial cultivation: Our Redlove® apple trees, for example, are commercially grown on four continents
