Urban cooling is a key component of sustainable urban development, reducing heat stress and improving the microclimate in urban areas. In our presentation, we will show how biochar substrates, in combination with satellite-based vegetation analysis, can measurably increase the climate impact of green spaces while reducing maintenance costs. Using practical projects, we will demonstrate how these natural solutions can be implemented efficiently and what potential they offer for municipalities, companies, and the green industry. Through the use of modern data analysis and AI, green spaces can not only be better planned and maintained, but their impact on CO₂ reduction and temperature regulation can also be made visible. The presentation is aimed at experts in urban planning, landscape architecture, green space management, and research, and offers concrete approaches for making urban spaces climate-resilient, economically viable, and ecologically sustainable.
